Displaced by the Longest Civil War in History
-
How would we describe Sunshine Orchards Learning Center? Perhaps as a beacon of hope. Or simply, a continuing miracle.
For the past seventeen years, the Adams family has dedicated their lives to educating the Karen people of Myanmar (formerly Burma). Their mission began with a simple yet profound goal: to create a safe learning environment for children escaping the dangers of civil war. This vision led to the founding of a migrant school just across the Myanmar border in Thailand.
Student enrollment has fluctuated over the years, ranging from 80 to 150 students. But as the conflict in Myanmar has intensified, the need has grown exponentially. In just the past three years, the school has expanded to serve over 800 students. Week after week, the Adams family has faced uncertainty—never knowing if there would be enough food for the students. Yet through it all, their faith has only deepened, and God has remained faithful, providing for them every step of the way.
