Trapped in Time - Indonesia's

Forgotten Villages - Part 2

  • This episode of Steps Unseen is a special re-release of a series from Papua, Indonesia—a place that holds a very special place in our hearts. For safety reasons, we’ve made a few necessary adjustments to these episodes.

This is the second episode in our series from the island of Papua in Indonesia. In this episode, we visit a mission school managed by a local foundation called "Yayasan Cahaya Harapan Papua." At the time of our visit, the mission had only been established for eight months. The dedicated workers here stay incredibly busy, not only teaching at the school but also providing medical assistance to the local community to the best of their ability.

This is one of the most remote locations we’ve ever experienced. The mission is accessible only by an eight-day trek through rugged terrain or by flying in and landing on a newly constructed airstrip.
