Adventist Aviation Indonesia was founded in the early 1970s on the island now called Papua in Indonesia. It was established to help spread the gospel into unentered and remote areas of the island where many villages are difficult to access. The aviation program was created to transport people to regions that would otherwise be unreachable.
It is a faith-based, volunteer-driven organization that supports the Seventh-day Adventist Church in its mission to carry the good news of the Gospel to the world through aviation, education, and medical ministry.
The mission of Adventist Aviation Indonesia is to accelerate the spread of the gospel to unreached and remote areas of Papua by providing air and medical support to established SDA missions and organizations, and by helping the church open new work in unentered territories.
