La Loma Luz Adventist Hospital strives to be Belize’s leading provider of affordable, holistic healthcare—offering every patient compassionate and respectful service that reflects Christ’s love. As a non-profit Christian institution, the hospital is dedicated to serving local communities by providing accessible, safe, and high-quality medical care that nurtures the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of all.
Our Personal Experience
When reflecting on our time at the La Loma Luz Adventist Hospital, one phrase immediately comes to mind: “Spiritual Revival.”
What inspired this sense of revival was the hospital’s truly unapologetic, faith-based approach to care—an approach that touches not only the body but also the soul. Each morning begins with public worship in the lobby, where staff and patients gather for prayer and song. Throughout the day, prayer is a natural and visible part of hospital life, woven into patient interactions and staff routines.
Although the hospital no longer receives as many patients as it once did, it continues to play a vital role in providing high-quality healthcare to those in need. Beyond its walls, the staff dedicate Thursday afternoons to visiting surrounding communities—meeting people in their homes, many of whom avoid hospitals due to financial hardship. These outreach efforts have, on several occasions, identified serious health issues that might otherwise have gone untreated.
Affectionately known by the community as “A Light on the Hill,” La Loma Luz truly lives up to its name—bringing physical, emotional, and spiritual light to all it serves. The hospital has several important projects in need of support, and your help can make a difference.
