EP. 1 - World’s Most Dangerous Air Travel in Papua Indonesia
-
In this episode of Steps Unseen, Aaron and Lexi travel to the remote island of Papua in Indonesia, where they’ve been given the unique opportunity to document the incredible work being done through a local foundation called “Yayasan Cahaya Harapan Papua.” This foundation has made an immeasurable impact on countless lives, often in some of the most inaccessible regions of the island. They visit a mission school managed by the foundation that, at the time of their visit, had only been established for eight months. The dedicated workers here stay incredibly busy, not only teaching at the school but also providing medical assistance to the local community to the best of their ability.
This is one of the most remote locations they’ve ever experienced. The mission is accessible only by an eight-day trek through rugged terrain or by flying in and landing on a newly constructed airstrip.
This video is dedicated to the memory of Gary Roberts, honoring his selfless life of service.
